What's in a Name?

"Bucolic" is one of my favorite words. It means "simple", "pastoral" or "rustic". It's the perfect word to describe both my goal in providing handmade items for my family as my ancestors have done as well as to describe the rustic quality of my sewing skills.

I have done a small amount of sewing in the past, and always met with success, but I lack confidence. I've never undertaken anything very difficult, though.

Hopefully this blog will serve as a bit of accountability to encourage me to continue making my small attempts and it will be a showcase for my projects.

Just please don't laugh at my sad efforts!
